When the NAFE was formed the NSPE Code of Ethics was adopted by the Academy as its code. Through the years questions have been raised as to whether or not the NSPE Code is applicable to the practice of forensic engineering or whether the NAFE should adopt and be guided by a more specific code for this specialized engineering practice. In a previous paper the author has touched upon certain aspects of the NSPE Code which on the surface might appear to be in conflict with the practice of forensic engineering, but when examined closely were seen to actually be compatible. Further on, this will be explored in greater depth.Published
