Abstract

This Paper Discusses Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash Investigation Where Wobble Or Weave Mode Instability Is Claimed To Have Been A Principle Contributing Factor To The Loss Of Control. The Paper Then Discusses Methods Of Evaluating Subjectively And Objectively A Particular Motorcycles Wobble Mode And Weave Mode Response Characteristics. Finally, A Standard Is Suggested For Safe Response Characteristics In Wobble And Weave Of A Production Street Motorcycle Designed To Be Sold To The General Public.
