The writer discusses an electrical phenomenon which can cause fires and is reported in the literature. Nevertheless it tends to be overlooked by investigators because it is more subtle than other phenomenon, may take a long time to develop into a working fire, and is not as well documented as other electrical ignition phenomenon. This article discusses the glowing electrical connection as a hot point in the circuit and some of its interesting characteristics.Published
