Abstract

The purpose of this analysis is to define the causal factors of bicycle accidents at railroad crossings. Bicycle accidents at railroad crossings usually result in a fall with serious upper body injuries to the cyclist. This paper excludes cyclist collisions with a train or motor vehicle. Emphasis on reconstructing railroad crossing cyclist accidents will center around the cyclist falling for the following reasons
